The modular kitchen cost in Bengaluru depends on four things: the size and layout of your kitchen, the finish you choose for the shutters, the hardware inside the cabinets and the accessories you add. In this guide our design team breaks down each of these, so you can walk into any showroom knowing what a fair price looks like.
We have designed and installed kitchens in more than 500 homes across Bengaluru and North Karnataka, and the numbers below come from real projects, not catalogue estimates.
What Decides the Modular Kitchen Cost in Bengaluru?
Every modular kitchen is priced by area. Designers measure each unit in square feet (width multiplied by height) and multiply it by a rate for that type of unit. That is why two kitchens of the same length can have very different prices.
- Layout: straight, L-shaped, U-shaped or parallel. An L-shaped kitchen is the most common choice in 2 BHK and 3 BHK apartments.
- Units: base cabinets, wall units or box lofts, tall storage and a crockery unit.
- Shutter finish: laminate, acrylic, PU or glass. Acrylic gives a high-gloss look and costs more than laminate.
- Core material: the plywood carcass. We build every kitchen on CenturyPly plywood.
- Hardware and accessories: soft-close hinges, tandem drawers, oil pull-outs, corner solutions and baskets.
Modular Kitchen Price Breakdown by Unit
Base cabinets are the most expensive part of any kitchen because they carry the counter, the sink and the hob, and they hold most of the drawers. Box lofts above the counter cost roughly half as much per square foot as base cabinets. Tall units and crockery units sit between the two, depending on the glass, lighting and internal fittings.
Typical price range in 2026
- Compact straight kitchen (8 to 10 ft): about ₹1.2 to ₹1.8 lakh
- L-shaped kitchen for a 2 BHK: about ₹2 to ₹3 lakh
- Large L or U-shaped kitchen for a 3 BHK or villa: about ₹3 to ₹5 lakh and above
These are indicative ranges for an acrylic finish on CenturyPly with branded hardware, before GST. Your final price depends on exact measurements, which is why we always share a room-wise quote after a site visit.
Laminate vs Acrylic: How the Finish Changes the Cost
Laminate is the most practical and budget-friendly finish. It resists scratches and heat, comes in hundreds of colours from brands like Greenlam, Merino and Century, and is easy to clean. Acrylic gives a mirror-like gloss and a seamless, luxury look, but it costs more and shows fingerprints a little more easily.
Many of our clients choose a mix: acrylic for the wall units and tall units that people see first, and laminate for the base cabinets that take daily wear. This keeps the premium look while controlling the budget.
Accessories That Add to the Price
Accessories are where kitchen budgets quietly grow. Each one is priced separately:
- Tandem drawers for pots and pans
- Cutlery and organiser trays
- Oil and bottle pull-outs
- Wicker baskets and thali baskets
- Rolling shutters for the appliance counter
- Handles, profile lights and sink mats
We use hardware from Hettich, Hafele, Ebco and Blum. Choose the accessories you will really use every day, and skip the rest.
How to Keep Your Modular Kitchen Cost Under Control
- Fix the layout before choosing finishes. Moving the sink or hob later adds plumbing and electrical work.
- Use lofts for storage you rarely need. They cost far less than base cabinets.
- Mix finishes. Premium shutters where they show, practical ones where they work hardest.
- Do not compromise on plywood and hinges. These decide how long the kitchen lasts.
- Ask for a room-wise quote with sizes. A single lump-sum price makes comparison impossible.
